- Personal Identification Data: First and last name, photograph, ID number, picture of national ID, passport or driver’s license, country of issuing document, phone number registered on WhatsApp, and IP address.
- Driver-Specific Data: For users who also wish to drive, we collect a picture of the driver’s licence, picture of car registration documents (e.g., licence disk), proof of insurance and insurance company name, car picture, car model, car brand, and car licence plate number, date of car first registration, and age of the car.
- Trip Data: Indicated point of departure and point of arrival during a search (using Google Maps API), price per seat, date and time of departure and arrival of trips uploaded by drivers, and booked by riders.
- Usage Data: Data collected when a user registers as a passenger and as a driver, as well as data collected during the use of platform functionalities such as searching for a trip and uploading a trip and interacting with the platform’s functionalities.
- WhatsApp Data: We may access the status and profile picture of our users’ WhatsApp profile to verify the veracity of the information provided.
- Ratings and Feedback: Ratings of drivers by passengers and vice versa, as well as feedback about the website and other users.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- Facilitate trip bookings and connect drivers with riders.
- To verify your identity and eligibility to use our platform.
- To process and manage your account and trips.
- To communicate with you regarding your account, trips, and updates.

Your personal data is stored on Google Cloud in South Africa (Johannesburg) and in a MongoDB Atlas database, hosted on an AWS server in Cape Town, South Africa. Communication data is stored on WhatsApp servers. These companies are responsible for protecting and securing your data, in compliance with POPIA and GDPR.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Our data handling practices comply with the South African Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
